PluginAny — Privacy Policy

PluginAny ("we", "us") helps EV drivers in India discover charging
stations, plan routes, and navigate. This policy explains what we collect,
why, and your choices. It applies to the PluginAny website
(pluginany.com) and the PluginAny
Android app.
1. Information we collect
- Location. With your permission, your device's GPS
location, to show nearby chargers, plan routes, and provide turn-by-turn
navigation. Location is used to deliver these features and is not sold.
- Camera & photos. If you use the Contribute feature,
the photos you take of charging stations, which you submit to improve our
charger database.
- Account information. If you sign in with Google, basic
profile details (name, email, profile photo) provided by Google, used to
create your account, favourites, and contribution history.
- Your contributions & activity. Charger reviews,
check-ins, favourites, corrections, and reports you submit.
- Device & usage data. Standard technical data such
as device type, app version, and anonymised usage needed to operate and
secure the service.
2. How we use your information
- Find and display nearby and en-route charging stations.
- Plan EV routes and provide navigation and live state-of-charge guidance.
- Power community features (reviews, check-ins, favourites, photo reports).
- Improve the accuracy of our charger data (including AI analysis of
submitted charger photos to extract details like power and connector type).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and operate the service.
3. Service providers we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with the
infrastructure providers that run PluginAny:
- Supabase — database & authentication (account, favourites, contributions).
- Mapbox — maps, tiles, and geocoding.
- Cloudflare — hosting, media storage, and serverless functions.
- Google — sign-in (OAuth), if you choose to use it.
- Anthropic (Claude) — to analyse submitted charger photos and extract structured details.
- Our routing service, to compute EV trip plans.
4. Permissions (Android)
- Location (fine & coarse) — nearby chargers, routing, navigation.
- Camera — photographing chargers in the Contribute flow.
You can grant or revoke these anytime in your device settings; some
features won't work without them.
5. Data retention & your rights
We keep account and contribution data while your account is active. You can
request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
Deleting your account removes your personal account data, subject to records
we must keep for legal or security reasons.
6. Children
PluginAny is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect their data.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll change the "Last updated" date above and,
for material changes, provide notice in the app or on the website.
